[My Little Pony] The Cutie Mark Crusaders are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

The Cutie Mark Crusaders are four cute little ponies who have strangely not yet received their Cutie Marks, marks which will show their purpose in life. Their lack of Cutie Marks is strange, as all their peers have received theirs. But the reason for this lack is clear - once they get their Cutie Marks, everyone will recognise them.

For the Cutie Mark Crusaders are the harbingers of the end times. They are in fact the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

[Doctor Who] Omega is the villain behind most of the series and we have already met him in the new show

 Who is Omega?

He's a pretty big deal in Doctor Who mythology. There are two key founders of Time Lord society: Rassilon, who got all the credit and became a big hero, and Omega. Omega was the man who invented time travel and who personally created the Eye of Harmony. In the process he was sucked into the black hole he created and imprisoned in a pocket universe where he gained god-like powers as well as a desire for revenge. Eventually in 'The Three Doctors', the Doctor discovers Omega and defeats him, destroying his universe.

Omega was not dead however, and returns in 'Arc of Infinity'. He tries to return to our universe by merging his bio-data with that of the Doctor, copying his fifth incarnation. The Doctor seemingly kills him and he is dead.

But can you kill a literal god? Omega is incredibly powerful and has escaped death more than once. His return in the Big Finish story 'Omega' certainly suggests that 'Arc of Infinity' was not the end of him. He's one of the iconic figures the new show has not yet touched (having been a villain for the 10th and 20th anniversaries) and his absence is puzzling... unless he has been there manipulating events all along.

[Iron Man] Tony Stark is a robot

The story of Iron Man’s origin is a classic and cherished one. Tony Stark, a wealthy, arrogant weapons manufacturer, is badly injured in Afghanistan and captured by terrorists. He has some shrapnel in his heart that is killing him, but his fellow captive, the genius scientist Yinsen, grafts an electromagnet to his chest to stop the shrapnel, and together they build the Iron Man suit so that Stark can escape. Stark then turns from greed and avarice and towards justice and philanthropy.

Or does he?

You see, while Yinsen died in the cave in Afghanistan, it is very likely that Tony Stark did as well. What emerged from that cave was not Tony Stark, but a robot that Yinsen had created to replace Tony, who had died from his severe injuries. There is actually some compelling evidence to prove this case.

[Ghostbusters] The Ghostbusters are the villains

Hey, here's a disturbing story! The other day, my grandmother was in the local library, minding her own business, when a group of men with illegal weaponry burst in! They chased her and shot at her, and then tied her up, carrying her back home and locking her up in their basement! She's still there!

Awful, right? But what if I tell you my grandmother is a ghost? Does this suddenly make it okay?

The Ghostbusters are completely immoral monsters. Their business revolves around imprisoning the spirits of the dead for the crime of being a ghost. There's no point at which they judge the crimes of the ghosts they chase (at one point in Ghostbusters 2 they 'bust' a ghost who is simply jogging in the park!). Every ghost is fair game if they have a client who is willing to pay.

[Game of Thrones] Ned Stark survived being beheaded

Ned Stark survived his ‘death’ at the hands of King Joffrey, that much is certain. We know that the Starks are all wargs, that is that they can shift their minds into other creatures. We’ve seen that with Bran’s powers, but also that of Jon Snow and his direwolf, as well as the other Stark children to a lesser extent.

[Better Call Saul] takes place after the events of Breaking Bad

The underlying assumption behind the television show 'Better Call Saul' is that it is a prequel to 'Breaking Bad'. However, nowhere on screen does it state that it is a prequel. There's actually more evidence to suggest that it is a direct sequel, with events taking place after those seen in 'Breaking Bad'.

[Game of Thrones] Deciphering the Pink Letter

Spoilers for A Dance With Dragons!

One of the most popular mysteries of the novels is the mysterious Pink Letter received by Jon Snow. In it, Ramsey Bolton writes to Jon Snow about his victory over Stannis. Many people have queried the providence of such a letter due to the following inaccuracies:

[Aladdin] Disney's Aladdin is set 10,000 years in the future

Aladdin is set in the distant past, right? A classical Arabian tale?

Wrong!

It is actually set at least in the year 10,300AD! The evidence for this is both simple and clear:

[Game of Thrones] The Night's King wasn't a villain and the White Walkers aren't evil

So we all know the story of the Night's King. An evil Lord Commander of the Night's Watch became enraptured with a mysterious white woman and took her as his bride, proclaiming himself to be the Night's King and committed 'horrible atrocities' before he was defeated by the King in the North and the King Beyond the Wall, freeing the Night's Watch from his terrible clutches.

But, you know, history is written by the winners.

[Rocky] Ivan Drago's punches are so powerful that they can warp reality

Ivan Drago, Rocky's opponent in Rocky IV, is certainly a powerful man. In the film we see computers measure his punch as 2,150-psi, but that is simply the tip of the iceberg.  Drago is so strong that his punches can smash holes in the fabric of reality, and he used this power to bring down the Soviet Union.

[Game of Thrones] Varys is a merman

Video transcript:

Is Varys a mermaid? No, of course not, that's ridiculous. He could be a merman though.

[Game of Thrones] Daenerys was in Westeros all along

Remember in the books where Dany thought back to her childhood home?

"That was when they lived in Braavos, in the big house with the red door. Dany had her own room there, with a lemon tree outside her window"

However as the astute amongst you may have pointed out, there are no lemon trees in Braavos! What can this mean?

[Michael Bay Transformers] Optimus Prime is a war criminal and terrorist

Really, you have to forget all the years of propaganda built up around these figures by means of children’s cartoons and comic books. Many people think they know the true Optimus Prime just because they have fond memories of a Saturday morning cartoon, but really, they weren't there at Chicago and clearly can't be bothered to look at the facts for themselves and separate what actually happened from what they are told happened.
